Why do you attend the Latin Mass?
Ten reasons to attend a Traditional Latin Mass:
1. The mystery of the mass.
2. The humility and reverence for our Lord.
3. The Latin language of the church and sacred music of Gregorian chant.
4. The appreciation for the incense.
5. The veiling of all things sacred.
6. A chance to participate in the mass of the saints.
7. The profound respect for the Eucharist. Communion is received on the tongue while keeling.
8. The Priest celebrates “ad orientem” – “to the east” – putting the emphasis on the altar of our Lord.
9. At most masses, you have the chance to go to confession before, after and sometimes even during mass.
10. The silence which allows more time to pray without distractions.
