There was once a preacher named Daniel who spent much of his time speaking against the Blessed Virgin Mary. Whenever he saw Catholics praying the Rosary or speaking of Mary with love, he would say:
“Mary has no power. She is nothing special. Stop honoring her.”
Many people applauded him, and Daniel became proud of his knowledge.
🥶One night, after a long sermon criticizing Mary, Daniel had a dream.
He found himself standing before the throne of Christ. The glory of Jesus was so bright that he could hardly look upon Him.
Daniel fell to his knees.
“Lord,” he cried, “I have always defended Your honor!”
🥹Jesus looked at him with eyes full of both justice and mercy.
“Have you defended My honor,” Jesus asked, “or have you wounded My Mother’s heart?”
🥶Daniel was silent.
Then Jesus pointed to scenes from His earthly life.
🌹Daniel saw the Annunciation. He heard Mary say, “Let it be done unto me according to your word.”
🌹He saw Bethlehem, where she wrapped the Infant Jesus in swaddling clothes.
🌹He saw Calvary, where she stood beneath the Cross while her Son suffered.
🌹He saw Pentecost, where she prayed with the Apostles.
Then Jesus spoke🥹:
🌹”When I was hungry, she fed Me. 🌹When I was a child, she carried Me. 🌹When I suffered, she remained faithful. 🌹When My disciples were afraid, she prayed with them.
🥹Tell Me, Daniel, if you love the Son, should you despise the Mother?”
😭Daniel began to weep.
“But Lord,” he said, “I thought honoring Mary took glory away from You.”
🥹Jesus replied:
“The honor given to My Mother always leads souls to Me. Just as the moon reflects the light of the sun, Mary reflects My grace. She has no power apart from Me, but I have chosen to do great things through her.”
😭Then Daniel saw countless Christians throughout history drawing closer to Christ through Mary’s prayers.
He heard the words of Mary herself:
“My soul magnifies the Lord.” (Luke 1:46)
Not herself—but the Lord.
🥹Finally, Jesus said:
“Many speak of My Mother without knowing her. Learn humility before you judge what generations of Christians have loved.”
😭Daniel awoke trembling.
From that day forward, he no longer mocked Mary. He continued to preach Christ, but now he spoke respectfully of the woman whom God chose to be the Mother of the Savior.
And whenever people asked him about Mary, he would say🙂:
“I do not worship her. I honor her because Jesus honored her first.”

Those who love Mary should never hate others, and those who love Christ should be careful not to insult the woman whom God Himself chose to be His Mother. True devotion to Mary always leads us closer to Jesus Christ❤️.
